Brand & Website Design

Strange Animals

I worked at Strange Animals from 2018 - 2026, where I contributed to the brand development, art direction and design of the agency.

Designing the visual identity of a small agency with bite.

When I arrived at Strange Animals we worked to refresh the brand and logotype. This began a journey of creativity spanning my time with the agency as I contributed to its brand. The Strange Animals visual identity is based around animals, a sense of strangeness (as you’d expect) and a neon, techno-futurism mashed with jungle and environmental themes.

I produced many illustrations, designs and animations for websites, social media, ads, decks and email communications. When developing and maintaining the brand, our purpose was usually to defy standard conventions for how a creative studio should look, pitching with personality rather than an overly sterile or agnostic approach.

We hoped this would catch the attention of outside-the-box clients and it very often did!

The visual identity of Strange Animals while maintaining a certain style, was fairly fluid over the years, and we explored different colour schemes and design elements often. In place of full websites we focused on landing pages - a general one, and then others more directly tied to services and platforms like Shopify and Nationbuilder.

It was my great pleasure to contribute to the creative identity of Strange Animals during my time with the agency and work with the wonderful team to bring designs to life together.
